Nafika Tours believes that when children are unable to develop their full potential, it is not just a loss for them but also for their communities, the nation, and the world as a whole. That’s why we partner with orphanages and centers for street children in Tanzania to create meaningful change.
For every tour booked, we donate 3% of the booking cost to support education in local communities. Our contributions help orphanages provide essential school supplies, nutritious food, and cover school fees for children facing extreme hardships.
We are committed to upholding children’s rights—to live safely, receive a quality education, and have a voice in decisions affecting their lives. Nafika Tours actively supports their journey to becoming healthy, well-adjusted adults. We believe that by working with these children, their families, communities, other organizations, and government authorities, we can address the root causes of their challenges and create a lasting impact.
Join our Orphanage Volunteer Program and provide love, care, and support to children in need. In Tanzania, poverty, limited access to education, and the ongoing impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic continue to leave many children vulnerable. With minimal government assistance, countless children find themselves homeless, relying on orphanages for shelter, education, and hope for a brighter future.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by offering guidance, emotional support, and essential care to these children. Your presence can bring joy, stability, and encouragement to help shape their futures.
Orphanage centers in Tanzania work tirelessly to educate, clothe, house, and feed children in need. However, many are underfunded and lack the necessary resources and manpower to provide adequate care.
At Nafika Tours, we proudly support orphanage organizations in Moshi, including the Msamaria Center for Orphans and Street Children. We are looking for passionate volunteers who want to help these children pursue their dreams.
If you have extra time at the end of your trip, you can visit some of these organizations to offer additional care and support. Your presence and kindness can make a world of difference in their lives.
Be a guiding light for Tanzanian children while experiencing the breathtaking wildlife and the majesty of Kilimanjaro!

At Nafika Tours, we believe tourism should do more than create unforgettable adventures .it should also support and uplift local communities. Through responsible travel, we aim to connect visitors with meaningful initiatives that improve healthcare, education, and community wellbeing in Tanzania.
One of the inspiring projects we support is the St. Theresa School of Nursing, located near Moshi at St. Joseph Hospital.
St. Theresa School of Nursing was established to address a serious challenge in the region: the shortage of trained nurses and midwives. Many women in rural communities live far from hospitals and often do not receive proper medical care during pregnancy and childbirth.
The school was created to train compassionate and skilled nurses who can serve their communities and help reduce maternal and newborn health risks. The dedicated nurses and educators at St. Theresa are committed to improving healthcare in surrounding villages.
In addition to hospital training, nurses often visit nearby communities to educate women about maternal health, child care, hygiene, and disease prevention. These outreach efforts help families gain knowledge that can save lives.
Many students at St. Theresa School of Nursing come from very poor families, and some are orphans. For many of them, paying school fees is extremely difficult. Despite these challenges, the school continues to support students who are passionate about becoming healthcare professionals and helping their communities.
Through determination and support from the community, these students are able to continue their studies and work toward a brighter future.
Volunteer Opportunities for Visitors
Visitors traveling with Nafika Tours who are interested in community engagement can participate in volunteer activities that create meaningful connections with local people.
.Teaching and Student Support
Guests can visit St. Theresa School of Nursing to share knowledge with students. Volunteers can give short talks, assist with discussions, or simply encourage students who are training to become nurses and midwives.
Visitors who volunteer at St. Theresa School of Nursing can also support students in meaningful ways. Many students come from very poor families, and some are orphans who struggle to pay school fees and afford basic learning materials.
Volunteers who wish to help can contribute by supporting students with school materials and medical training supplies. Others may choose to assist with school fees or small educational support which can make a big difference in helping students continue their studies.
For visitors with a medical or healthcare background, there is also an opportunity to volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital. Here, professionals can exchange knowledge with local doctors and nurses, helping strengthen healthcare skills and collaboration.
Even a short visit can be inspiring for both visitors and students.
By traveling with Nafika Tours, you are helping support local initiatives that focus on education, healthcare, and sustainable community development.
We believe that responsible tourism can build bridges between cultures and create opportunities that benefit both visitors and local communities.
Together, we can ensure that every journey not only creates unforgettable memories but also leaves a positive impact on the people and places we visit.
