Next, you’ll visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its dense forests and stunning water areas filled with diverse birds. Keep an eye out for the unique tree-climbing lions and other amazing animals.
Finally, the tour takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater – the world’s largest volcanic crater, home to the Big 5 and many other species.
In just three days, our 3 Days Tanzania Safari offers an unforgettable adventure through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro, giving you a true taste of Tanzania’s wildlife.
You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours, so sit back, relax, and get to know your Nafika Tours guide. Once you arrive, you will spend 4-5 hours exploring the park, which is famous for its large population of elephants and the stunning scattered baobab trees. Other wildlife, such as giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs, can also be spotted here, although it’s not guaranteed. Lunch will be provided during the day. A word of caution: the local vervet monkeys may appear cute, but they can be mischievous, especially when it comes to food, so hold on to your meals tightly. At approximately 4:00 pm, we will exit the park and drive to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and to spend our first night.
Another early morning start as you head to the Ngorongoro Crater – one of the new 7 Natural Wonders of Africa. Not only does the Ngorongoro Crater offer breathtaking scenery, but it is also home to over 25,000 wild creatures. You may be lucky enough to spot the Big 5 here. Estimates suggest there are roughly 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, and many others in this small area, so I hope your camera is charged and ready to go. The crater itself is about 610m deep and covers 260 square kilometers, providing ample opportunities to spot your favorite animals. After a 4-5 hour game drive, we will depart the crater to drive back to Haven Nature Safari Camp for a well-deserved dinner and another night under the stars.
The final day of the drive takes us to Lake Manyara, one of the smaller and underrated National Parks in Tanzania. It is an unspoiled paradise of ground water forest fed by underground springs and teeming with wildlife such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and some of the largest baboon troops in Africa. The bird life is spectacular year-round, home to more than a hundred species of birds composed of all different feathers. Whilst sitting or standing in your vehicle be sure to look above you as well as on the ground if you are wanting to find those lions; as they are well known to be sleeping high in the trees at Lake Manyara. Departing at 7:00am you will enjoy a morning trying to spot your favorite animals before heading back to Moshi/Airport around 12:00pm.
