5 Days / 4 Night
Kilimanjaro International Airport
Your adventure begins at 7:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. You’ll travel through breathtaking landscapes on a six-hour journey (240 km) to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, aptly named “endless plains” in the local language, is a vast expanse of wilderness home to the “Big 5” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard. As you enter the Seronera region in Central Serengeti, you’ll be welcomed by its rich wildlife and the unique rock formations known as “kopjes.” Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day-long game drive, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in your accommodation
Begin your day with either a relaxed breakfast and an 9:00 AM departure for game drives, or an early 6:00 AM game drive before breakfast. As you head toward North Serengeti, the scenery will shift from the flat plains to more hilly terrain. Along the way, keep an eye out for zebras, gazelles, lions, and leopards. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route, and based on your arrival time, you may have the chance to spend time near the Mara River, where the great migration crossings often take place. End the day with dinner and a restful night in North Serengeti.
The day begins with another game drive in North Serengeti, where you can either depart early for a 6:00 AM drive or have breakfast first and leave at 9:00 AM. After exploring, you’ll make your way back to Central Serengeti. The four-hour drive takes you through diverse landscapes, with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife. As you return to the Seronera area, the habitat transitions back into open grasslands. Watch for lion prides and other predators in this abundant area. Another picnic lunch is planned during your game drive, followed by dinner and overnight accommodation.
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Central Serengeti, then begin your journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This scenic drive offers more chances to spot wildlife before you reach Ngorongoro Crater. Known as the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, Ngorongoro is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including about 30,000 animals. After a picnic lunch, settle into your accommodation in Karatu or near Ngorongoro for dinner and rest.
Your final day starts early with a 6:30 AM descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. The 260 sq km crater floor is a natural wonder filled with diverse wildlife, including elephants, black rhinos, cheetahs, and lions. Enjoy a five-hour game drive through this stunning landscape, with a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool. Afterward, you’ll ascend the crater walls and begin the four-hour drive back to Arusha, arriving by 6:00 PM. As your safari comes to an end, you’ll have memories of a lifetime to take with you.
The cost of the safari depends on your travel dates, group size, and the accommodation.
